Interesting Happenings with Campground Reservations This Season!

Every campground (5 or 6) that I have had occasion to
ask the question:
“How are your reservations going this Spring?” ALL reply that reservations are UP 25 - 30% over this time last year! Now these have all been in or very near major tourist areas, either in Maine or New Hampshire. Campers seem to be picking campgrounds
who either have major activity programs or facilities
Apparent Reason: Presumably because of gas prices (and for some, the general economy), campers seem to be picking campgrounds who either have major activity programs or facilities AND/OR are located in a major Tourist Destination Areas. AND, they the reservations are for longer periods of time.
